Behind him you can see his one-off Hawker Harridan, designed by Victor 'Vic' Elappe, which Fooke recommended not be put into production because "it was such a b*tch to fly". Elappe stormed out of Hawker's, went to work in Russia & was given the nickname Stormo Vic as a result
