Did you know #RAFLuton was the first to use Advanced Reverse Stealth Engineering back in 1903. The technology enabled one Lancaster fighter jet aircraft to appear as a whole squadron to the enemy. #AvGeekpic.twitter.com/hq7u8cNG8i

Loved those proper Lancasters, not the dodgy WW2 version. Amazing to think that two Gnome jet engines pushed them upwards of 900 mph.

Used a powerful light source, mounted on the sticky up bit at the back of the host a/c. Tested in North Africa as Operation Torch.

This tactic was so effective that counter-measures were not developed until the early 21st century, when Twitter began to implement its "ShadowBan" technology

WOW, More ingenuity from @RAF_Luton . Bet the lads at base were well "chaffed" with that little idea. 😉

I have never read such nonsense in all my days, it wasn’t that one jet could appear like a squadron, it was for a whole squadron to appear like a single solitary jet.
