Nonsense. That's a Lockheed Constellation preparing for the post war Silver Clipper service. Those are tanks for Laurent Perrier Grand Siecle supplies for the upwards of 6 passengers the "Stella" carried in the lap of luxury (laps are less comfortable than actual luxury though).

Amazing - I see they cut off a couple of the engines to increase the fuel efficiency - I guess the lack of a payload increased the range dramatically...
