Unfortunately, your archivist is in error here. The pilot is Sqn Ldr Arthur 'Busty' B'stard, famous for flying a Spitfire through the gates of Buck House on VJ Day. He went on to be the first leader of the White Feathers display team and a navel attachė case to Moscow.
Update: The #RAFLuton photographic section have searched the archives and found a photograph of the Lightning that Tony and the Time Team have unearthed. The photo was taken back in 1502 and shows Flt Lt Britney 'Britty' McBrit with the bomber plane #AvGeekpic.twitter.com/vj2oPWf8m6

I seem to remember there being an issue with landing gear on this and having to make an emergency landing at
@RAF_Luton for the nose to be assisted by a special modified vehicle when landing.
