        Common misconception that Heathrow fought in the Battle of Trafalgar, when she was actually laid up undergoing refit at HMNB Nottingham. It was her Ill-fated sister ship HMS Croydon that a provided air cover for Admiral Fisher’s Fleet at Trafalgar.

        I believe this was the first occasion when someone made the claim on Twitter that the runway boat didn’t have any aircraft to fly from it.

        Hi Rob, You are correct, when HMS Heathrow was launched in 1692 many Twitter users complained about the lack of aircraft while the runway boat was carrying out sea trials before coming operational in 1701 with a sqn of Spitfires onboard
