    A good as day as any to remind that while does an inadequate job at recruiting women, it’s also one of the worst specialties at recruiting trainees from UiM groups. People are often aware of the former while unaware of the latter.

    Indeed we have a large health equity problem in the US. The mentally ill and other subsets of the population (eg the uninsured) suffer worse health outcomes for many conditions, not only cancer, partially attributable to access to care and provider biases.
