I think a lot of the drama from the Grandmaster League right now is from people arguing unrelated points against each other. Some people are saying that more women should have been chosen in the legend spots and the others are arguing that legend spots shouldn’t exist. 1/2
I think if people accept that legend spots exist and it is not going to be the 48 people with the best results then they would be fine with more diversity. But they believe it should be the best players and that’s why they are upset. At least that is how I feel on the subject 2/2
That’s what I’ve been saying. These are different issues from different expectations of what GM should have been. Either way you look at it though it wasn’t done well.
