Yeah. The semicolon is allowed when setting your password. It is not allowed when logging in.

My favourite has always been systems that have an undeclared length limit and silently truncate your password to (say) 8 chars when creating the password, but not during login So you enter FnarFnar123 and it gets accepted but then doesn't work.
