Will America's political leaders do what it really takes to end our involvement in endless wars?

Trump is not working to end wars in the Middle East. He has deployed thousands more troops. He pulled out of talks with the Taliban. He dropped more bombs in Afghanistan in 2019 than had ever been dropped in a single year.

If you want to pull back on US war, start by adhering to the declaration clause.

The reality is that Trump withdrew from a deal that was blocking Iran from going down the path to nukes. Trump, neocons and other hawks claim Iran is trying to build nukes in order to build support for war 2/2

Applause in Congress for Trump's actions against Iran do not reflect public sentiment: "53% of adults in the U.S. disapprove of Trump's handling of Iran."

Not going to mention those 50 American service members injured in their retaliation strikes? Oh right, you thought those were “headaches.” About what we should expect from a 5x draft dodger. Don’t be fooled, he does not value the lives and well-being of our troops.

It should not come as a shock to you that TRUMP JUST LIED HIS ASS OFF ABOUT , saying Iran "must abandon its pursuit of nuclear weapons." This is bullshit. US intel and the UN nuclear watchdog say Iran is not pursuing nukes. 1/2

The targeted killing of Soleimani brought the US and Iran nearly to the brink of war, after Trump pulled out of an agreement that had successfully halted Iran’s nuclear program.

Assassinating did nothing to make more secure, alienated millions more people in blatant violation of Iraqi sovereignty

So disgusting to highlight the pain of a veteran family, deployed in an illegitimate war that Trump has reignited by refusing to leave Iraq

"We have invested a record-breaking $2.2 trillion in the United States military." That is NOT a record we would brag about breaking. We can think of a million things that would better protect Americans than wasting it on endless wars and lining contractors' pockets.

Trump talks about allies like they are freeloaders. It's time to rethink our alliances and how we treat our closest partner countries.

Trump mentioned the $2.2T in military spending, and stated that he "keeps his promises." But no mention of promises to bring the troops home. Instead he has sent more troops to the region try to prevent the war he nearly started with Iran.

Waste of money to militarize space w trillions on while our children can’t get decent school lunches, millions homeless, infrastructure collapsing, folks dying without healthcare

We have militarized space, because “the world is not enough” seemed catchy.

Trump oversimplifies the trade dispute with China. It generated enormous uncertainty in the US economy and raised prices for businesses and consumers. It also weakened US's ability to get China's cooperation on multilateral issues such as climate change and North Korea.
