you can be nonbinary and not be androgynous. im a nonbinary fem aligned person who love feminine things. and the flag doesn't have to be represented in their costumes for them to be nonbinary. that's like putting the rainbow on every gay character just to identify them

this is horrible actually. superheroes are supposed to make you feel empowered, but this makes me feel ridiculed. reclaiming words only works if the community is on board with it; even queer is still highly contentious.

you can reclaim for yourself, but not for others, and the context of superheroes-- ESPECIALLY if they are literally being shown off as nonbinary rep-- is about the community.
