There's a hard tradeoff re thinking about vs presenting unusual ideas. The more you immerse yourself in how others think, so that you can anticipate their reaction and avoid misunderstandings, the less space and time you have to think of and explore unusual ideas.

One approach is to at least make sure you can communicate via the literal meanings of words, which takes much less effort than keeping track of all of their context dependent connotations. But that risks violating taboos in areas where most readers refuse to take words literally.

you can think of it as a signalling game where all statements understood as motivated by oppositon to a dogma are read as denials of dogma one equilibrium is for any statement which might provoke thought about dogma to be read as denying it
