The only realpolitiks is the politics of energy (controlling supplies & trade of oil, rare earth metals for batteries, etc)- which is, of course, a synonym for POWER. Everything else is downsteam of this. Capital as laymen understand it is a relic of former centuries.

All commodities are translations of negentropy- (another synonym for power). However abstracted they become in appearance, beneath the smoke & mirrors is energy, clear as day.

This is why the labor theory of value is so absurd, it is a tautology is we understand the "value" of exchange to be energy & labor as expenditure/translation of energy. Why gee, energy is energy, but this does not mean that a brick weighs the same as its equal volume in feathers

This implies tho that an energy theory of value is still possible, which is wrong. Deeper conceptual problem with LTV involves bad calculus, mathematical contradictions

It is not possible as we would have to have a complete knowledge of the energy flows, which is as you say, impossible. So value is based on the perception of various parties as to the energy contained within a commodity & also its value in other people's perceptions-

problem really is not tracking the flows, even in toy models where you assume you know where energy goes you won’t be able to make the “equal embodied energy implies equal value” thing work... there are proofs by contradiction
