imo environmental issues are largely orthogonal to class warfare. E.g. biggest problem in Cali is diversion of freshwater to agriculture. This is equally popular with rich agribusiness and poor crop pickers
In general you can spin *any* good-stewardship issue as "good for the working class" when CA is a dystopian hellscape because of all the cheap avocados and almonds, the rich will move to Denver or Tel Aviv, the poor will be royally fucked
