Inquiry into the nature of God is the duty of all Christians who have the gift to understand and to teach. For how can we be like God if we do not known him?
definitely. But gifts are as the talents; they impose responsibilities on the faithful but they are not themselves elements of faith

Everyone of the Church has different gifts to use to edify the whole church. Without those gifts one must question the presence of their faith much like one who claims Christ but does not exhibit the fruits of the spirit.

yes. but to all to whom God grants real and persevering faith, he ultimately grants hope and charity as well However he neither grants the ability to pierce theological mysteries (or any other extra-scriptural knowledge) to all fideles, nor grants faith to all metaphysicians

exactly. but there are many men who can rattle off an orthodox explanation of the trinity roasting in hellfire, while many who couldn't will be raised in glory that is what i mean when i say metaphysics of theology goes beyond sola scriptura
