I need alcohol. Doing research to help my professor husband prep for a panel on the philosophical influences of the alt-right and stumbled upon sumshit Dugin says about how American Maoists (RevCom/DSA) should study his 4th political theory (crypto NazBol).

IMO, Dugin's 3 step plan for young American intellectuals (and wannabe intellectuals/idealists): 1. Radicalize for chaos. 2. Push to extremes, both right and left. 3. Synergy of those extremes.

The NPC Meme is preemptive what-aboutism. They're being programmed with: "We're not the slogan zombies, you are!" Of course, they've already been programmed w/ an automated response to reason: "Rhetoric!"

... and there's the pre-programmed response for the lessor read: When confronted with something that sounds smart, trigger slight to condescension, activate tuning out of: "Elitists!"

I should explain how I went from Dugin, straight to NPC Memes in this thread. Was thinking about how to have reasonable discussions w/ ppl adopting totalitarianism, & realized these Memes are embedding "tune out" triggers for those exact discussions.

Exhibit 1: Someone using a lot of words to call me a dummy... also implying that books make people stupid. Anti-enlightenment is so last century. *yawn*https://twitter.com/EvanPlatinum/status/1050534393691820033 …

Evan (Platinum Membership) 🇦🇶 @EvanPlatinumThis thread is amazing. It's a fantastic example of a person who simply has no business analyzing culture or politics (and I'd likely say the same about her husband too, academia is larded with morons). This is your brain on histrionic liberalism. https://twitter.com/GirlyGrrrl/status/1050419252476465152 …6 replies 0 retweets 1 likeShow this thread -

seven words have you read, say, Shaftesbury? Montesquieu? Jaucourt? What exactly do your political views have in common with theirs other than fashionableness

While I enjoy philosophizing about what is "good", let's not go awry with straw-man arguments. Please focus on the actual points I make that y'all are responding to. Am I wrong about Memes being used to program your thinking & socio-cultural responses? And if so, how?
