any really, but I'm thinking of the disruption of the mother-infant basic mammal bond, that seems very critical to human psychology and all its logical distortions, very much taken for granted. So probably vats.

Given the continued advantage of interdependent co-operation between individuals (e.g absent eusociality or super-ecologically fit islands), the conditions for the development of trust will win out. Philos across a cohort is doubtful to be sufficient training.

yes but I'm curious about the consequences of making the typical mammalian format obsolete. alternative to maternity -> different psychology -> different society -> different philosophies.

To confirm, this scenario eliminates the mother bond, but preserves the father bond, existing requirements for neonate health and development, and the importance of credibly committing, in signal and actuality, to non-transactional social interactions.

There's no specific scenario in mind but not necessarily, consider the agoge but way more extreme for example. How much of the immune and endocrine systems are based around maternity? Contemporary morality is already different from blood feud times and that's comparatively mild.

Philosophically, I wager we'd still have virtue ethics, then, and moreover intensified, to inculcate through study the automatic absorption of behavior lost due to creche infancy. Even the agoge did not begin pre-age of reason.

if you rule out maternity you don’t need sexual selection or affinity and things start to get really weird
