Interesting. It seems to me that integrity requires wholeness, but irony requires us to hold something back and allow someone to interpret what we really mean through implication or reversal. truth is a byproduct of other things - sometimes it can *only* be a byproduct, and the direct approach is not just inefficient but impossible, incoherent
