Labor rights in publishing will have to come from left unionizing of writers, editors, assistant editors, and agents, and from worker solidarity across industries. Not consumers behaving as consumers looking out for their interests.

And you don't even have to! Actual libraries exist and provide ebooks and did so even during the nationwide shut-down!

It is almost as if they could have decided to behave like an actual library and would have been fine. I AM gutted my theology research will be harder, but that feels like a different issue.
