    A compass and metal detector are just a few items in a vast toolkit our SES personnel may call upon when asked to attend an incident. Some of our newer members took to the Brisbane River alongside experienced personnel for floodboat, navigation and metal detector training.

    Hazard reduction burns (HRB) are essentially what they sound like – a fire that can reduce the bushfire risk in your community. Performing a controlled burn on your property can help minimise the fuel that a bushfire has to feed on, if one passes through.
