Encounters - we wandered in a Ginjinha without a plan. The bartender still working. Gently we asked 3 shots, gently I say: “Hey, how are you? hope you are not feeling so tired after a long summer day.” And he told me the story of a crown used to play in front of the colosseum.

A Japanese guitar were playing across the Ginjinha. All by himself. The tones rise and fall. After another, we clapped and handed over a cup of Portuguese liquor. He nod, waved his hand and smiled.

Around the standing table outside the Ginjinha, a group of friends were chatting. A lady called Caterina opened up to us when we said hi. She told us stories about all her tattoos and the name of the bartender. She told us Portugueses don’t show emotions which made me surprise.

She told me sometimes they can be cold and indifferent but if you see them closer, you will see diamonds and pearls. She wished us best luck and welcome back every time!
