Oh, and at the sushi buffet, it’s a place my partner and I go to every couple weeks, so we know how much it usually takes until we feel full, this time, I was only able to eat like 2/3 as much as usual, & felt more full than usual. So it seems like my ability to eat has shrunk

🥣 I can’t think of a good reason not to use lentils as a “cheat” meal, and to add some more protein in on gym days, So I think I’mma make a big ol pot of daal and whenever I can’t stand the thought of a plain potato, I’ll just pour some over a smashed potato

My family history suggests that if lithium *is* related to the method of action here, I should be careful here. Maybe take it slower than I have been.

If the lithium theory is even part-right, Then the potato diet is basically a process of removing a mood stabilizer I’ve been ingesting my whole adult life, While simultaneously putting my body in a stressful, mood-altering situation

I looked into lithium withdrawal to get a sense of what it would look like if this were a concern, And a lot of the symptoms fit, but are also pretty general. So… inconclusive.

very weird because even if obesity is 100% lithium, you should be coming off much lower than a clinical dose? but of course we have no idea what doses people are getting or what the withdrawal symptoms are at those doses

I also just seem to have a lot of personal emotional stuff tied up with food and weight loss and whatnot, so it’s unclear how much of this is specific to potato diet and how much is just what happens when my body burns fat tissue

yeah if it were just you we would brush it off as coincidence, but other people have also been like "I felt anxious like I have never felt anxious before" and "I became really nauseous" and so on still could be coincidence but this is enough to make it – weird
