fantasy is the genre you create by asking “how can i write dialogue involving the most powerful words in my language spoken by characters who could possibly actually mean them” and working backwards from there

interesting. yeah fantasy to me feels like when heroics become Complicated in our world, we created one in which it was still Good and True

i think the experience of having strong emotions is kind of a blooming out at the place in which we deviate "from the norm" in any given moment. bc the crush of belonging requires that we conform, we refrain from this expression to the degree that we want to fit in.
