Hmm whenever I change food habits, I research the diet quite a bit, And I’m realizing that’s partly a coping mechanism for dealing w the stress of the diet changes, Which also means that when I run out of decent reading materials on the diet, it gets harder to stay w it

I’m going between potatoes and fasting at the moment, and I’ve read basically everything on both, And now there’s a reading-shaped in my coping strategy 🤔 maybe I can fill the hole with sci-fi novels

Also, just to check in, As of this morning I’m down 14lbs (6 point something kg), And that’s with a 5-day plateau this week where I was too injured to stand or walk, so no exercise got done, plus I broke the diet for a couple days in there,

So today is… 18-ish days, with sth like 13 days actually following the diet somewhat strictly, down 14 pounds… less than a pound per day lost, but I think it would be more like 1 pound if not for the injury and cheat days. Not too shabby

weird to be feeling both A) I would murder everyone in my family for a non-potato meal right now and B) having no problem resisting other food, despite being seated like 4 feet away from a giant bowl of cookie dough

Gonna take a Nutrient Day today, getting foods my body seems to be missing. I seem to be craving cherries and pickled beets—so I assume my body wants whatever micronutrient makes things reddish? Any other suggestions for healthy nutrient-dense stuff?

Had beets, cherries, hash browns with eggs, a baked potato, dark chocolate, an avocado-egg wrap, and one of the peanut butter cookies my partner made. the cookie once again sent my entire body into weirdness. Sugar is crazy.

I’ve eaten pretty healthy the past couple months, then my partner made cookies yesterday. I ate 2 and within 15 minutes felt a jittering sense of anxiety and dread for no outward reason

i get anxiety and dread from all sorts of nonsense foods now. haven't isolated all of them but gluten and seed oils seem to be big offenders. actually sugar seems mostly okay for me?

Fruit sugars tend to be fine, processed sugars decently bad, but the worst seems to be like, things made at home, with a bag of sugar from the supermarket. Unpredictable reactions every time, from dread to my body temp skyrocketing to jitters
