the main way in which i really feel my age is that i think my cynicism has gotten better calibrated. when i was younger there were a lot of things i wasn't cynical about because i hadn't yet seen a ton of similar things completely fail to pan out

I realized the one thing about youth is that young people price risk idiosyncratically and inconsistently.
Occasionally this works in their favor, as when they don't know how completely insane it is to try to put computers in ordinary peoples' houses.
