in my fraternity we used to, very rarely, watch porn together on the big screen TV in the living room. it’s not something i’ve ever done with another person since and i feel surprisingly nostalgic about it. it was nice to not feel like porn was only a shameful private thing

This sounds like a useful experience to have during that life stage. Opening up a group conversation to destigmatize sex-related topics seems to me to be a special kind of experience you can only get in college, and only if you find the right group of friends you can trust

I had a loosely similar experience. I had a close friend who started a tradition in his college dorm suite, the "annual porn party." It was like many other college parties (red solo cups, lights low, music) but with a few TVs along the walls of the room playing different pornos

It was a great marketing tactic to get ppl to attend, since it's such a seedy idea. The shock-factor faded surprisingly fast once the party started, and everyone had a good time with literally every line of sight feeding us endless conversation topics
