I find a really good way to tweet like a person is to use the same kinds of colloquialisms & rhythms as I might when I'm texting my friends - I use "like" a lot, and in 's tweet here the "say" has that effect as well

@sashachapin in his group writing course said "what makes writing good is the sense of human presence on the other end" and that really stuck with me. that's more what i'm trying to get at with "unfiltered" - i try to write like a person and not like, say, a corporation

it's like precisely the opposite of composing professional emails where I'm gonna be trimming out as much filler as possible before hitting send

tbh my twitter feed is mostly a steady stream of the monologue you'd be getting if you were sat next to me except sometimes I'm by myself and sometimes the people next to me need a bit of quiet (this strategy may or may not be replicable without some adhd traits)

if you want to know why I use this twitter account, there are 3 main reasons: 1. an outlet for vanity 2. to inspire authenticity, positivity and vibrancy in others 3. so that I have somewhere to dump my adhd-speed thoughts without driving my non-adhd husband insane with chatter
