i don't know how quickly this is happening but i hope on some reasonable timescale we're going to transition from helping each other explore our feelings etc. to helping each other find ways to make money, collaborate on projects, etc. that feel alive, enriching, wholesome

y’all know any game developers/designers you think i’d vibe with? tbh that was my childhood dream and…i dunno, after my little ancestor/mentor griefposting i realize i should try to talk to people doing stuff i think is cool, especially with the skill set i have now.

This feels like it is, in no small part, an issue of imagination and sense-of-permission-slash-possibility,,,
Which makes me feel like I should be doing more about this.
Group imaginal sessions on tpot abundance? Seems doable twitter.com/QiaochuYuan/st…

i want to clarify that this is not a criticism of the introspect-y feelings-y stuff, just one of the more appealing guesses i have about what to build on top of that stuff as a foundation

aiight here goes - ✧·゚: * rewilding providing *:·゚✧
A monthlong coliving jam for burned-out tech workers that asks: What next? How can the act of 'providing for ourselves and our loved ones' actually feel enlivening, and bring us closer to our souls?

this reminds me of the skills spreadsheet i made in 2021
i'm sad i never did anything with it, i think maybe it got things totally backwards and the personal connection has to come first
also it was def a reaction to feeling trapped, i'm not trapped now

also "skills" is a bad framing cos any collaborative activity is gonna require you to grow, like you are gonna pick up new skills, that's always how it goes

My own mistake was thinking work was dumb and wanting to escape work. Finding things I want to keep on doing has made me feel better about myself. I think self employment journeys can be healing for some people.
