it turns out that “try to force myself to do the thing right now, fail, procrastinate for 2 weeks” is actually much slower than “wait 5-100 minutes until the thing feels doable” even though the second feels like i’m being way too luxurious about time

Depends on the weather But this whole strategy can lead to a vicious cycle of increasing fragility and feeling overwhelmed at lower and lower loads. I’d explain more but I just woke up from my nap and am recovering with coffee.
