ok I read the definition on wikipedia and wtf is the difference between "limerence" and just like having a crush on someone. I don't get what is weird about this

yeah i'm confused about this too, i assumed it was just the fancy technical term for a crush and i *also* kinda assumed that all attraction was accompanied by crushes and now i think at least one of these assumptions is wrong but not sure 🤔
Limerence is much stronger than a crush
When you’re in limerence you can’t stop thinking about someone, you always want to be with that person, your brain is hijacked wanting to love that person, and be loved back
Crush = strength of 1
Limerence = 1,000
