(wistfully) i would like to somehow have a way to make money drop-in with no commitment doing something relatively concrete, like show up somewhere and idk chop wood for a day and get paid for it. i think that would feel very refreshing compared to what i normally do

When I was in high school you could go to a Home Depot parking lot from 4am - 6am, Monday - Saturday and often find work as an unskilled laborer with the construction crews that needed extra set of hands.
