and frankly stupid when i compare it to how bad convincing myself to go to the gym can feel

it’s worth mentioning that the pleasure of exercise does increase with capability
in the first months it can be physically grim, especially if your approach is one of forcing and pushing
with every year you get stronger, more flexible, more capable and exercise becomes play

huh this hasn't been my experience. for me the gym feels intensely pleasurable at first if i haven't been in awhile and then the pleasure sharply diminishes over time, idk why

worse. when i started i got these big surges of what i think is testosterone. now it feels pretty neutral but it does improve my sleep and sometimes there are cute girls

i don't do any cardio ever though, all lifting and stretching, so hmm

i also mostly dont do cardio. get most of my cardio from strength training
running is a treat when i feel like i need release
