One thing I might add - I didn’t have awareness that I wasn’t doing this until I had a ton more space. So 2016 me would have said yes| yes

voted yes/yes, but a lot of that is contingent on me leaving management and getting back to a dev role where I can set much better boundaries around work

I work four days a week. This is now full-time, for me, and it feels like I have enough time. But I would like more. I think of it as incremental retirement

I just spent most of the last 2mo doing almost nothing but some such much-needed reflection, and I have no idea how anyone with a full-time job would have managed to navigate such a situation sanely. Maybe they just wouldn't've.

You just can't You start it and it hits you hard and you're wrecked and have no energy and the next day is Monday and you gotta be filling that TPS report
