Most of the music I've heard from him is an extremely impressive exercise in virtuosity, but doesn't touch me emotionally. But I wonder if that's partly because I'm not tuned in to the emotional frequency he's broadcasting at.

Which might actually be due to him not having suffered enough, or at least not in a way I can relate and attune to, but I feel a bit icky putting that kind of judgement on another person.
