haha when i learned how to talk to the rationalists i degenerated myself and everybody i was talking to because minds are genderless i wonder if that had any downstream effects at all on my ability to flirt

That's a very awkward and loaded way of thinking of things. imo when you encounter a person whose identity X conflicts with your perception of them, you think 'so that's a type of X'. Gender is not solely inward; gender expression can take many forms and is sometimes suppressed.
