here in vancouver there are spaces you can rent out specifically as rooms for bands to practice
soundhousestudios.com this is one of the places we used to rent from before getting a dedicated space years ago

fair enough. from what i remember it wasn’t terribly expensive, but…
if you do it at a park with more than a couple people, it comes across as entertaining rather than disturbing.
