If you used to get completely overwhelmed by emotions to the point of not being able to function or doing things you deeply regretted, and then stopped, what made the difference for you? What tools, techniques or beliefs did you find helpful?

circling, bio-emotive, IFS, ideal parent figure protocol, somatic experiencing, cutting out gluten, oral appliance for sleep apnea, sunlight, walking, magnesium, cutting out seed oils

it does sound like a lot of stuff, but so probably does mine 😎 I’m not very familiar with bio-emotive or somatic experiencing, do you have some threads or blog posts that explains these in more details?

oh i did actually write a thread about what i’m calling somatic experiencing (i haven’t studied the real thing), here it is:

Thank you, this sounds a lot like what happens during shamanic drum dancing. Perhaps this could be the missing container to keep the whole thing grounded.
