on this trip to the bay i had no idea how i’d avoid seed oils. ate a meal that was maybe cooked in seed oils before vibegala and felt anxious and sad for a few hours, had to burp a lot to feel better
last night ate at a place that used olive oil, felt fine!

I'm convinced that seed oils are bad but I'm beginning to wonder if the anxiety and stress surrounding it is long-term worse than just eating them

Like if someone convinces you that seed oils are poison of course your body will feel like shit when you eat them

the worst experience i had was blinded. i ate a meal cooked in sunflower oil that i thought was cooked in olive oil and felt heavy, weak, anxious, sad, tired, couldn’t lift anything at the gym, was *really* confused

this experience was also blinded:

The unifying factor was fried food, and not just your typical fried food, this restaurant used sunflower seed oil exclusively
As I dug into why I could be experiencing such an extreme reaction I began to find that nutrition wasn't as simple as I believed

I do feel significantly better on a paleo diet - wondering now how much of that is seed oils vs sugar vs additives etc

Fascinating. Do you also find it's only a problem when used for frying?

I never had an issue with the cold sunflower oil used in their salad dressings, but this was enough to send me down the "anti-seed oil" rabbit hole you see people sharing all the time on here
This was one of my first "waking up" moments will nutrition
