on this trip to the bay i had no idea how i’d avoid seed oils. ate a meal that was maybe cooked in seed oils before vibegala and felt anxious and sad for a few hours, had to burp a lot to feel better
last night ate at a place that used olive oil, felt fine!

i had fries for the first time in months 😭
gonna start asking every restaurant what cooking oil they use, apparently they will just tell me which is great

you may wonder “what if you were just feeling anxious and sad about vibegala” - the feelings abruptly started when i was in the middle of the compliments thread on twitter, no obvious trigger, before that i was feeling fine, processing didn’t make it better but burping did

iirc someone told me if burping makes it better then that means the gas was putting pressure on my vagus nerve or something? had a similar experience with burping relieving anxiety awhile back iirc

i’m actually quite confused about what’s happening. specifically idk if i somehow developed a seed oil sensitivity recently, or if it always made me feel bad but i already chronically felt so bad for other reasons that it wasn’t noticeable? or…

i wonder if the body can deliberately emphasize the effect of specific foods as an act of communication with the mind. like “hey it’s time to really notice how bad this thing is in particular” but only when the time is right

one FUCKING ANNOYING side effect of meditation (and/or just getting older???) is that I'm increasingly aware of the subtle ways I'm affected by things I do or consume, over longer stretches of time
