hmm okay guys it's really starting to seem like i have some kind of moderately serious gut health issue. IBS or something? i burp a lot and my gut often feels bloated / swollen / distended. anyone have recommendations for what keywords to search for to find a specialist?

hoping to find someone who's moderately "integrative" / "naturopathic" b/c i know IBS is linked to anxiety which i definitely have had plenty of, so i'd want to talk to someone who is comfortable with the emotional side of things also

Weird advice but I've found tons of gut health people on tiktok so maybe just search for "gut health" there and scroll through. They're not necessarily trustworthy but it gives a starting point for googling things & also gives a sense of their vibe if you find someone you like

it's good to look into things but the primary issue could def be stress. burping is a sign of hyperventilation + stomach issues are often due to muscular tension in digestive tract (motility). 'the mindbody perscription' by John Sarno is a good resource
