the weird thing about pears i will never understand is only one kind is good (anjou) and only when very ripe and the others are all affronts to the majesty of god in comparison

give them a try! idk how hard they are to find but big grocery stores should have them. wait until they're somewhat soft to the touch before eating, you really want them to be practically melting in your mouth
