thank you ❤️ i just stopped reading my notifications at some point yesterday and still feel a little hesitant about blocking/muting, but i suppose i'll have to. it helps to hear other people have struggled with it, though!

it was a specific tweet (you can search for it by doing a min_faves search for my tweets, it's my most popular tweet). there were (online) newspaper articles, at least one in chinese. i had to close my DMs because i got literally a hundred people asking me for money

ah, in that case I don’t have to search, I remember. I first (and last) saw it before it got quite that huge, and even then I was amazed at the bravery and resilience it must have taken to post!

honestly i think i was mostly being reckless and a little impish 😅 it probably wouldn't have blown up if i hadn't included the exact $ amount but it felt important for conveying how paralyzed i was
