I would assume quartz. But then I always assume quartz. I don't really know

I am far from a rock expert, but looks like a milky quartz rounded by exposure to the waves

As the other replies say, I would also guess either marble or quartz. How hard is it? If it is hard to scratch it's more likely to be quartz (7 on Mohs scale, while marble is 3-4)
