How do you approach investment/commitment if your long term goal is unclear?
Conversation
mostly i have just refused to either invest in or commit to anything after having been burned a few too many times, and have also refused to articulate any long-term goals. i think "goals" for me feel too closed-off or too certain or definite in a way i really dislike

like when i think of "goals" i think of "read 100 books" or whatever, stuff that feels like i'm giving myself homework
recently i've been trying to articulate "visions" or "dreams" and that feels a lot better to me. visions and dreams are alive, i can fall in love with them
i think with a clear and satisfying enough vision it can become easy to commit to something. like having a vision of what a life together with a partner could be like making it easy to commit to marrying them. that kinda thing. (ultimately i compare everything to romance)

I also hate articulating goals!! I think my issue is that I have no problem coming up with grandiose visions & dreams & loving them,,, but figuring out how & where & when to manifest them is difficult
