was feeling weirdly tired and sad and wanting to scroll on twitter forever and then i remembered i ate a bag of chips (cooked in seed oils) today as an experiment
motherfucker welp that’s my experimental result

would not be surprised that being hit with moar inflammatory signals can make the bodymind bias towards "let's be sessile for a while while we work through this"

thats why i went full seed oil disrespecter, regardless of what the Research says; feeling like crap isnt worth the taste (nor is instantly burning in the sun)

what do you mean instantly burning in the sun?

getting a photosensitivity reaction within like, 15 minutes, much like the one you get when you take an photosensitizing antibiotic that causes UV-induced lipid peroxidation
turns out 1) that's not normal and 2) being outside is a lot more pleasant when that doesn't happen

(i confirmed this experimentally indeed by taking such an antibiotic (TMP/SMX) and i started burning again in the sun in exactly the same way as i had burnt for my whole life until i stopped eating seed oils -- and it went away when i stopped taking the antibiotic)

(theres experimental evidence in lab animals showing increased sun sensitivity caused by PUFAs thats at least partly mediated by increased lipid peroxidation and omega-6 PUFAs (except for omega-3 PUFAs; those tend to act in anti-inflammatory direction) are pro-inflammatory too)
