"being kind" i think very powerful. "nice" it really depends on what exactly you mean by that 😅
i think in practice "nice" is like, don't make waves, appease people, avoid saying things that challenge them or hurt their feelings; none of that is necessarily kind, kindness sometimes involves saying really difficult but necessary things
