For the last six months I’ve gone for a 30 - 45 minute walk every morning as close to waking as possible. I’ve missed maybe three days when it was raining heavily. It’s become one of my favourite habits - seems to have a strong link with how good I feel.

“stop and smell the roses” is such a stock phrase I do notice tho like, in moments of real freedom, one of the things I naturally end up doing is taking really slow, luxurious walks and just enjoying all sensation- wind and sun on my skin, and even the physical sense of balance

Replying to @meditationstuff and @vgr
Meditation masters take long, aimless walks, with no particular relation to their (body)mind, as long and as often as they have time for, and it’s unwasted time; it’s time well spent, in terms of their values and goals and hopes and dreams, as it were.

I think I literally just solved my meaning crisis by going on a walk in the forest and talking to myself out loud and occasionally taking notes on a tiny notepad I carried in my hand
