i have to read this book so slowly. keith johnstone will write a paragraph and i feel like i could think about it for weeks. this little bit here about betty is one of my favorite things anyone has ever written

Yeah it's usually some somatic shock that throws me into a realization of how much more open my body used to be when small. Like a smell or a flash of certain color or words that triggers a body sensation. When it happens, I can feel my physical experience was intense back then

Team no except... Dreams. I have a couple of dreams that I distinctly remember waking up and feeling like I mattered, that I was powerful, almost magical, and I would feel amazing for a day. Like there was something more to life, hiding somewhere

Imo That's not out of reach, but when you mature you realise tradeoffs means that to maintain that sense for significant periods would not be worthwhile due to the cost(s)
