alright fam dinner tonight is lamb fried rice. lamb, rice, avocado oil, eggs, salt, gluten-free soy sauce, frozen mixed veggies so doesn’t get too worried, bone broth i added for kicks. this is the second meal i’ve cooked in maybe 1.5 years

oh this is nice. a few days ago i tried beef fried rice cooked in coconut oil and while it felt amazing going down the coconut added a weird desserty aftertaste i didn't like. for some reason i kept expecting the taste of chocolate. avocado oil tastes much more appropriate

ooh there are some bits of this that taste *really* good but i don't know why. more broth? more oil? must investigate in the future

this is how flavourful chicken rice is made! you use chicken stock/broth and then it goes into the rice and becomes absolutely delicious 🤤

yeah this is my go-to method, unless I'm specifically making rice for something like an Indian dish (in which case I throw some ghee into the rice cooker)

you can also put a duck leg or whatever in the steamer basket over the rice when you cook it
