Something I really, really don’t like about North America:
I feel like I’ve done something wrong, because I don’t have a car :(

I’m feeling a bit lost
Original reasons and plans I had coming to the US don’t exist anymore, and I’ve got decision paralysis
And — I need to get back to Portugal for residency gov admin, but changing my flight is €1.8k (!!!)
Oh no

Alright, some parameters: I’m in LA, so let’s broadly stick to the West Coast
I have to bounce back outta Austin, Tx at the end of the month

Things that are true:
I love, love a road trip — I don’t have a driver’s license to do this by myself
I loved being in Joshua Tree in a camper van for a couple of days, but it’s not feasible without a car

The Amtrak up the West Coast sounds like fun — who knows it well enough to answer questions like, “do I have to book a bunch of single tickets if I want to stop off to see and ?”

But also: I have been in a different bed every 2/3 nights for 3 weeks now. I’m tired in that specific sort of way
I wonder what could happen if I booked a single place (where, pls send opinions) for a week or two

Another thing that is tru ( back me up here) is that I love hanging out with moots in their homes, making dinner, and chatting shit
So I’m calling in: invites to your kitchen, and sleeping a night on ur couch. I’d love to have the time with you

if you’re willing to come as far north as seattle (well, bellevue, WA) there’s a whole guest bedroom and bed for you here 🙂 happy to put you up multiple nights, stayed here awhile back and he can vouch for the place
