Gave my friend a head rub earlier and she went from near burnt out (several days of high state anxiety) to being so relaxed she seemed, for all intents and purposes, tipsy.
10 mins in she started spontaneously talking about her happiest childhood memories

Im surprised we dont spend more time obsessing about the effects of head massages. Or using them as an emotional first aid tool.
Theyre incredibly easy, zero risk and most people (ime) come out them with a massive positive shift in emotional state

She’d tried long walks, meditation, supplements, therapy call, intense exercise etc to calm herself down.
All it took was <5m to shift an emotional state she’s been locker in for days. Faster than any substance i can think of

Tbh i also *love* head rubs. So if we all started giving more of them this would be a happier world for me.
Used to have an ex who’d massage my t-zone when we argued. 9/10 id forget what we were arguing about. 10/10 effective strategy, would recc 😅
